A Picture Paints a Thousand Words... December!

Hey everybody. Ya miss me? So for the next few posts, I'm gonna try somethin' new. I have lots 'o pics that I need to share, so I'm just gonna throw 'em all on here and give little descriptions where needed. Yes? Sound good? How 'bout one post per month... for the last... 4 months. :)

So here's DECEMBER...
Just a typical view of the park across the street from my apartment on a cold winter day.

I got to help with some of the Hurricane Sandy clean-up! This is Abby and I riding the train bright and early on a Sunday morn... on our way to join 'Mormon Helping Hands'.

Despite the look on my face in this pic :), it really was a somber and humbling experience to see the damage that was done to these people's homes. I'm grateful for the opportunity I had to contribute to the community!

After FHE one night, a group of us took our friend Chris out for his birthday! This is Tera, Abby, Nick and Chris!

The birfffday boy. Chris and I actually lived in South Provo at the same time so we have a lot of mutual friends back home, which is funsies.

My good friend, Logan, came into town one weekend and took Nikki and I out on the town! We ate at a yummy hoity toity restaurant and then I got Logan into Peter and the Star Catcher for free! Lucky, lucky boy.

Here's a group of us after the stake Christmas concert. We walked down the street from the temple/church building and found a fun restaurant to try. Always good food around, I tell you... And so does my pant size.

Speaking of good food... meet Mike. This is the proud champion of the Koronet challenge! Remember that pizza place with slices of pizza bigger than your head?? Well... we challenged Mike to eat 3 whole pieces in one sitting (1 is usually more than enough for the average human being) and he did it! This is him taking the last bite.

My parents and little sis, Amanda, came to see me for Christmas!!! It was amazing. My parents were able to sublet an apartment just a short walk away from mine and we had the time of our lives. Christmas in NYC was magical and we sure made the most of it. I worked some of the time, but they were able to see 4 or 5 shows, take a boat tour, see a few museums, see the Rockefeller tree, shop in Macy's, see the 9/11 Memorial, have dinner at Aunt Jan's, celebrate Amanda's birthday, see movies, eat lots of delish meals... etc... and they loved it! It was so fun to have them here with me for 2 whole weeks!

The party animals themselves. This was our New Year's Eve feast! Somebody made a mistake and gave me their credit card and sent me to Trader Joe's to stock up for the night. BIG mistake.

We took a walk through Central Park one afternoon. Oh - how I love my familiondo! And I also love my new headband from Santa... can you tell? :)

Just a cool pic of me and the sis in the park. Oh... good times were had. It sure meant a lot that they would spend the holiday with me. How did I get so lucky to have such a wonderful fam? Geez louise!
